Bro....you need to go study the merger of the UPCI....when it came to outward holiness there was alot of disgareement. YET, these men considered eachother Apostolics and merged based on acts 2:38.

YOU might want to rethink your position.

No, I shall not. You as well as everyone else here knows the places I have been and what I have been into. I have walked through Hell and the liberal agendas of this world, drank at their tables, eat their bread, and was one of them. I have waivered back and forth so much. But, when you have had enough of the lies about so-called 'freedom and liberty', and you see the right way, I don't care who you are, you will believe the truth and walk back into it, regardless of what people say about you.

The early days of the UPCI was exactly that, the early days. They were working issues out, and seems to continue doing so. But, I know this. Standards and holiness are still preached in many UPCI churches, and I am glad to be numbered among those who have held to the truth.

So, I stick by my answer...NO.

Bro. Price........

Be as conservative as you like but you don't have to check your brains out at the door.

So sad when carnality blinds one to holiness. But then, some refuse to make themselves right before God, and prefer to just be just enough to seem holy without a true inward conversion of the heart to regulate the entire life.

Felicity,

One thing to be holy. Another to be insulted.

Holiness is a commandment, and one that should be followed whole heartedly. Refusal to do so in not true holiness. Compassion and holiness go hand in hand, but truth is always going to be truth.

I stand by my statements.

Some folks would really be surprised that when the Merger was going on there was a HUGE Apostolic church with many assemblies that was not involved.

So the Merger is not the measuring stick for everyone.

Hey bro. I didn't insult you. I just said that you can have one without having to forfeit the other.

To deny that there were divergent beliefs at the time of the merger is not real smart.

I wouldn't be one of those surprised but there is lots of variance and variables within the Apostolic church worldwide. Always has been, always will be.

There's also room and needs to be for different emphases. Apostolic doctrine and holiness cannot be forfeited for easy believism and trashy loose living, but we don't all think the same and don't all take the same position on every aspect and issue of doctrine and holiness.
