Well I can tell you that the biggest reason people aren't voting is because many refuse to give their opinion unless they "know what you're up to".
That is one of my pet peeves. Just be honest. Answer the question. Don't hide because you don't know the end. Be honest enough to simply answer the question.
Every one of Timmy's posts seem to be attempts to undermine any faith in the bible.
Anyone else notice that?
Unless he is wanting to believe and asking questions that plagued him. But I wonder....
After all, he is involved in ex-pentecostal outreach. Is this his ministry - to get people to deny the bible?

If that's the case, I'm not bothered by it. If our faith is as strong as we claim, then someone attempting to undermine faith in the bible won't be a problem.

I agree. But what about newbies to the faith who come here?
Timmy is a wonderful person, for sure. But would a pastor, let's say, really want someone going to all the saints in the church and asking them all these sorts of questions that are meant to inspire doubt in the bible? Just asking. I mean, it's like, "Think of this..." and it is intended to get people thinking of an alleged implication that would cause one to conclude the bible cannot be true due to that implication.

First, I would panic if I found out my "newbies" came here. I had some "oldbies" find out about this and I panicked. And I'll tell ya, it wasn't because of Timmy...but I AM scared to death of those religious people.
Our church is full of "Timmy's" and I love them dearly. I even told Timmy (by PM) that he should be on my board!

"Faith never questioned is faith never really owned."
That's a quote........from me.
Honestly.....no. I wouldn't necessarily like it if Timmy were going from person asking questions that provoked doubt. But you know what? I'm CERTAIN that Timmy would never do that. He has issues with pentecostalism, as do I. He has issues with Christianity, as do I. He has doubts about the bible, which I do not. But do I have questions? Sure.
If Timmy were to come to our church and I discovered that he were going from person to person in an attempt to turn them against their faith, I'd ask him not to do that. But again, I don't see any way he'd do that. I trust him.

I am not here to bash Timmy. Please know that. But I think what you would not want him to do in your church is what he is doing on the forum. It does concern me.

Hey, I know! The admins could put an "Ignore Timmy" option (default "yes") on the sign-up page!
