Yep! And that affiliation is way more disturbing. I'm confused as to the lack of attention on that particular long term association. Republicans would have been much better off focusing on that during the elections than focusing on him being a closet Muslim or not being a true U.S. citizen.
I don't think "Republicans" focused on that. Politically speaking Republicans tried to focus on policy. But it was the false "profits" of radical right wing talk media and fabricated special interest cook groups that focused on that. Most Republican voters know very little about "Republican policies", they typically hear the right wing talk nuts. That's why you and many others think the Republicans focused on Obama supposedly being a Muslim. That's all the right wing let you hear.

Marxists and Communists advocate violent overthrow of established social democracies and free markets for the estasblishment of a centralized institutional government and body of laws that eradicate the free market and all private property. In addition Communists would eradicate all religious systems.
Socialists believe strongly in democracy and advocate democratic social policies to serve a free people. The areas they believe need socialized change are democratically addressed through the body politic without violent revolution. They regulate free markets in an effort to bring social harmony and fair play to the business landscape (their success at this is highly debateable). Socialists do believe in private propety and socialists embrace religion and it's free expression if not simply for cultural reasons.

I don't really understand your post. First of all, when I listen to talk radio, I listen to Michael Savage and Neal Boortz (most of the time), neither of whom are staunch Republicans (I don't think Neal Boortz is even affiliated with the Republican party). Surprisingly, I don't copy their opinions and make them my own. Sometimes I agree with them, and sometimes I don't. I tend to think for myself. LOL!!! Btw, even Sean Hannity has taken to defining himself as a "conservative" rather than a Republican. Michael Savage in particular...I like a lot of his basic philosophies, but I dislike his harsh take on immigration, for example. I get annoyed with people who are supposed to be Christians, but leave Christianity out of their politics. Christianity should influence everything, including our political views.
Secondly, there were SO many emails, blogs, and posts about Obama being a Muslim and not being a real citizen during the election, I probably couldn't count them all. That IS what a lot of Republicans focused on, and it was a stupid waste of time. Obama had (and continues to have) other associations that are much more bothersome.
I'm not a Republican; I'm an independent. I decide who I vote for based on their policies--not their party. That's why I liked Sarah Palin and thoroughly disliked John McCain. John McCain is just another fence rider. He would have been useless in the white house.

Like I said... same bag. Nice list of countries I wouldn't want to live in. I can't stand the ground your guy walks on. period. I hope his administration crashes in flames, I hope everything he attempts to do ends in utter failure and that he is run out of DC on a rail.
But I don't hold that against you, certainly wouldn't call you names over it!
