Muddying down your conviction to not offend is just dishonest. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. Speak it in love. Wisdom isn't necessarily this new worldly PC game.

A oneness man rises to renown in America and is actually called America's favourite preacher. He is ONENESS!

And suddenly he is kicked and attacked by ONENESS PEOPLE. Folks, this is a great chance for us! Who would have thought a oneness preacher would be known as America's favourite preacher on the cover of TIME magazine?

I think just going on Larry King is a compromise.......LOL! Should've gone to Sean Hannity.

(BTW, TD Jakes is one of my favorites, too.)

Wow, sounds like Billy Cole was using wisdom in his comments. Sounds like he is endorsing T.D., how about that????

Is it really that big of a deal? Really?

He isn't a 3-stepper -- so what do you and other "Oneness" people care? Does a belief in the Oneness theology of DKB save you? Or does believing that Jesus is God coming in flesh save you?

I'm not kicking and attacking him. Go to YouTube and listen to some of his interviews. There's a reason why some of us are cautious and introspective concerning what fame does to a man.

It is SO HARD to maintain the "3-stepper" model of salvation without adding to the Bible-- when examining the Biblical salvation experiences of the Ethiopian and the Jailer.

And I was raised and at one time a very strong proponent of what is called the "3-stepper" argument.

Now I am not willing to make the stand that speaking in tongues is the point of salvation.

I guess I am a compromiser too-- only I don't know it yet.

(because I'm not a Biblical compromiser.)

Oneness is a huge issue in the face of a mostly trinitarian concept of Christianity in the world.

Perhaps you didn't make your voice deep enough and didn't pace dramatically. Then again did you preach a message that got the masses encouraged to give an offering so large you need money trucks to haul it away. Then preach that their blessing is on the way and try the aforementioned.

Jakes has made more money from his books than from his preaching. The building and property and the community ministry activities that they are involved with cost lots of money. I have never heard TD begging for money, he knows how to make money, so he doesn't have to beg!!! I am not a big fan of the pentecostal type preaching, but I do admire his impact on his community.

He has taken on the "hard work of leadership", and it is hard, in any worthwhile endeavor.

Many build nothing, so they spend their time tearing down those that do build. TD is a favorite, he seems to ignore it all, and just keeps on building.
