Re: Favorite Christmas Movie
Christmas in Connecticut - Barbara Stanwyck
I don't normally care for Barbara Stanwyck, but I do like this film.
And I just do not like It's A Wonderful Life! I've tried to like it because I like Jimmy Stewart. The noise and actions in the movie are like people with ADHD or something! LOL!

Re: Favorite Christmas Movie
I don't know which one would be my favorite, I like lots of them.
Each year we watch some or all of the following:
Christmas Vacation
Miracle on 34th Street (the old black and white version)
It's a Wonderful Life
Christmas in Connecticut
The Holly and the Ivy (just found that DVD last year after seeing the movie many years ago on tv)
A Christmas Story (You'll Shoot Your Eye Out)
Annabelle's Wish
I'm sure there are more that I can't remember right now.

Re: Favorite Christmas Movie
`As was stated, I like all of the Christmas movies.
I do think It's a Wonderful Life is a classic!
But I have to watch Home Alone.
And I like the older versions of A Christmas Carol.

Same here. Always liked Jimmy Stewart.
Also used to love to watch Red Skelton do the Freddy the Freeloader Christmas scenes in his show.
Red and Jimmy seemed like genuine people, not much "acting" was had to be done I perceived, as it seemed to be just part of who they were.

I can handle A Christmas Carol, but for the most part I just zone out when Christmas movies come on. I haven't viewed the most recent rendition of a Christmas Carol but we may go see that.
