In our house we ALWAYS have-
Tortilla chips
cheese (both block and shredded)
Salsa
sour cream
(DO YOU SEE A NACHO THEME)
Chili
Hot Dogs
French Fries (in the freezer)
It is quite ironic, because I am a pretty good cook, and we rarely resort to chili dogs for dinner, but the hubby and kids always know that are there...
So what can be counted on to be in your fridge, freezer, or pantry?
This is surprisingly difficult for me to answer. I guess because I have become somewhat of a food hoarder. It started out just wanting to get a good deal. Oatmeal would be on sale, buy one get one, and so I would buy 8 boxes, to last until It went on sale again.
I actually had to take INVENTORY, recently, of my 2 pantries, and inside and outside freezers. Bottom line, I am ONLY allowed to buy perishables that I need!
So in summary, apparently every food possible is what I can't live without
