And They Crucified Him ,Art Katz

This is something very sobering to me,and it does provoke thought.

Re: And They Crucified Him ,Art Katz

Art Katz was certainly one of the premier Teachers of the Charismatic Movement. He was the first Messianic Jew of our time to bring the message of perfection without trying to bring Saints back to the law of Moses. He is exactly right on in this message. I hope he is not misunderstood when he said the cross is never preached anymore. It is as much as ever but with a twist.

Nowadays it is preached as only being applicable to Yeshua. It is labeled as "The finished work of Christ". It puts the work of the cross entirely on what he did 2000 years ago and takes it all off the disciple.

I believe this is really what Art Katz was getting at from studying his teaching over the years and he is right. Take up the cross and deny self daily. Now THERE is a forgotten principal!

Once that is said in our modern version of discipleship the flow of criticism begins. "You are teaching works". "You are adding to the gospel". You hear it so much you almost dread to teach on discipleship.

Two words Art said could sum up his meaning. "Abandon everything".

That is discipleship to Yeshua the Messiah. Well said Art. RIP friend.

I certainly don't agree with everything ART KATZ taught, but I do enjoy listening to his messages, and the man did have some insightful on some subjects.

What Art meant is played out right here. 114 replies to the thread about smoking pot and 3 about the cross.
