That is what love and forgiveness is all about. We are commanded both and I believe God gives us grace to do both. Jesus commands us to love one another and even to love our enemies. If we can't love our brother who we can see, how can we love God who we can't see?
Pr 10:12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: but
love covereth all sins.
Pr 17:9 He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends
