Simply stating Yeshua is the source name....the original. The name used by his family and friends.

Yehoshua is like Joseph and Yeshua is like Joey? I must say I never heard that Jesus is short for Joshua. I guess the seventy Greek Jewish scholars who compiled the LXX, were in a hurry when they came to the book of Joshua.
Good grief.
