Think there's power in child-like faith?

When I was 7 years old, I was asked to write (In Sunday School) one person I would like to win to the lord. I wrote the name of a cousin of mine who I'd always been close to, but both of her parents were backslid.
I had faith enough to write that, and I believed she would be filled with the Holy Ghost. This was in 2004. In 2006, her, her mother, and her little brother began coming to church after my grandmother invited them to join us, and figured she'd get rejected after being rejected so many times previously. Her Mother was refilled with the Holy Ghost and that summer at camp, my cousin was filled with the Holy Ghost. Her Father comes sometimes, but not faithfully so we're having faith that this year he will be refilled with the Holy Ghost.

Re: Think there's power in child-like faith?

Last night the song going through my mind was...

There's power in prayer
Power to spare
All that I'll ever need
Is waiting right there.
A simple word
A childs faith
Then goodbye despair
There's power, so much power
There's power in prayer.

Thanks for sharing

Re: Think there's power in child-like faith?

I think it boils down to personal experience.

I prayed constantly for a need from when I was very young, but the Lord did not answer the need until long after I had become an adult.

I guess you could argue that the faith from when I was a child had something to do with it. You could also argue that praying for needs is largely a method to build and strengthen our relationship with Him, and for the most part, the Lord is going to do what He wants to do.

Our prayers are forever before the Lord...even the lips that utter them may close in death but our prayers are before Him...

Wow, you are pretty articulate for a 7 year old
