An Angel Highway?

I just listened to the 10 min clip again.

Here are the things I found disturbing.
1. Mentioned a story regarding someones angel at least 3 times if not more.
2. Attributed angels to Deva Vu.
3. Said prayer would increase your angels power.

The most disturbing thing is that he spent most of 10 minutes telling a fairly large congregation about such things. Why did he feel the need to even preach on these things? Why did he care if people believed they had an angel that looked like them? It's obvious he felt it important that people believed this, so why did he feel it was important?

He's the pastor, clearly he felt it important for his congregation to understand these things. Probably so that they understand his ministry better. For example, if I were in trouble and he said to me "Strengthen your angel." I'd wonder why. After hearing this, I'd know that he intends for me to pray more.

I don't know if our prayers strengthens our angels... but I do believe that it puts us in a place to be strengthened by our angels. You'll find angels ministering to men in prayer throughout Scripture.

The take on our own personal angel who often appears like us is entertaining. Angels can manifest and take whatever shape and form they choose. So my response is... okay... so what?

Now, what exactly is his take on Deva Vu? I know I have my thoughts on it. What are LS's?

My opinion is that he is trying to build up peoples faith so they will do certain things. For Holy Magic Hair it is an extra reason to keep long hair. For angels that look like us it is an appeal to get us to pray more. None of these things are necessarily bad motives (well maybe they hair depending on where you stand on the issue). But, I feel that he is trying build up people on the sand instead of on the solid rock. He tells them to keep long hair because of its power. He tells them to pray because of their angel. The solid rock would be keeping long hair because one beleives the bible teaches such. The solid rock would be praying to get closer to God.
