We've had a rough winter here in SW Ohio.
In February so far we've had more than 23 inches of snow and have set records.
There have been times I have heard of coming storms and prayed that they would dissipate before arriving here or that they would veer off some place else. A couple of times that seemed to happen but not here lately when I prayed that way.
Elijah prayed about rain according to
James 5:17-18 and Jesus stilled a storm in
Mark 4:35-41 so we have precedent for praying about the weather.
One of my sons-in-law runs a garden store plus landscaping and snow removal. He always sells pumpkins in the fall and Christmas Trees at Christmas. A couple of years ago I was complaining to my wife about all the snow we were having and she reminded me that after the Christmas tree sales and until spring landscaping and plant sales, our daughter, her husband, and children had no income unless we got snow. I quit complaining about it then knowing that the snow that came was part of God's answer to my prayers for provision for my children and grandchildren.
But, today, someone sent me a picture about praying about the weather and I thought I would pass it on.
