He still comes on from time to time and is more active on Facebook. Or has been until recently.

He posted something about God answering an important prayer almost exactly two years ago at the exact hour that I needed to see it myself since we were going through a major drama involving the purchase of our new house.

Thanks Renda....and by the way you are certainly a "large" part of what makes this such a great site. I'm glad you're an Admin.

WARNING!!!!!
Now don't anyone try to twist that "large" into anything else, that would make this "not a nice post!" Ha Ha

I'm just cutting Timmy off at the pass, if you know what I mean!

Re: Could we have a NICE thread...

I've met so many nice people on this forum! I've had the privilege to meet many of you in person, and several others just online, but I have learned to love those online just as much!!

AFF has brought me new ministry contacts (Alvears, McCanns, McKinnies, etc.) and also brought us a staff member (Darcie & husband). So my life has truly been changed by this forum!! Also, I probably would never have gone to Brazil if it hadn't been for Janice Alvear.

Thank you all for this thread. It's nice to come here and read a positive thread like this!

Re: Could we have a NICE thread...

oh my goodness, there are soooooooooo many on here that I could say something nice about.

Honestly, there are very few that I would have something NOT nice to say about. And even then, I wouldn't bother saying it. Two reasons: 1) I honestly don't know all the background behind what makes each person act the way they do and say the things they do. Maybe they carry a great deal of hurt or anger. Would it do any good for me to add to that hurt or that anger? no. and 2) Whenever we say something nasty about someone else, the one we are really making look bad is not the other person. It is myself. I just don't care to be a part of that.

There are so many on here who I have grown to care about deeply. I won't begin to name names because as sure as I do, someone will get left out. But just know this - you all are the BEST there are!

Re: Could we have a NICE thread...

Sis. Alvear - you're the best example of a true Christian I've seen in a long time - Your outlook on life and the way you show the love of God to those who need it is so encouraging. The Bible teaches us to give honor to whom honor is due - and you are certainly due the honor!!

One of my favorite sayings to my granddaughter is: Be Sweet. when I see that temper or mood or aggravation rise up, I remind her to "stay sweet". It goes a long way in resolving issues and causes you to check yourself.
