Re: QUESTION:Anyone heard of this singer?? PLEASE
Edwardo Anglican,
If you notice I did not post any critique of the subject of this thread as I also am uncomfortable making fun publicly of what may be something very heartfelt by the person doing it. Am I an angel? No. I find many things funny and laugh in private but would not want to bring public derision to people.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

As we know from scripture, worship is not necessarily something that happens in church. In fact, we're told in the New Testament that "worship" is a lifestyle, not an activity. Most of the emotional, out-of-control gyrations, devil-bashing, yelling, and physical shenanigans, that gets a crowd worked up, is anything but worship.
Currently, I'm spending time caring for someone in my life that is disabled. He's been asking "why" lately and struggling with the things he can't do. So for several hours today, we've played, laughed, talked, and dreamed about the future and the hope it holds.
I consider that "Worship". I'm sorry, I don't have a video of it.

I would call it "praise", notofworks, and it comes in many forms, including (but not limited to) physical demonstrations and musical performances.
Not everyone likes exuberant praise. I know Michal didn't appreciate David's public display. That condescending attitude turned out well for her, btw.

Si Si Juan,
I'm not pointing a finger of blame at anybody but Mark. He's a dolt.
He posted this over at the preachers forum too.
I went to this woman's website a few minutes ago, and noticed that she seems to really love God and want to make a difference.

You are dead wrong Ed and awe me an apology for not telling the truth.
I DID NOT start a thread on the other forum about this singer. Someone by the name of Trent started the thread.
Furthermore, I never said one thing negative about her at all

I said
The first time I set foot in a Trinity Pentecostal Church was 1974. The first time in a Oneness Pentecostal Church 1975. What you see in this video at that time would have been considered really great. Anything "less" would have been considered "dead".
Having just come out of the hippie culture it took a bit of getting used to but because I loved the Lord I was able to come to like it ok.

I agree its not wise to belittle the way one worships Yeshua. When I was not aware of other Christian music this type sufficed.

I AM sorry, Mark.
Especially that you brought it over here.
Now, why don't you call Linda and apologize for being mean to her?

I agree with you, Mark. Although your style isn't always my cup of tea and I would see a lot of it as emotionalism, you're not a "dolt" and you didn't make light of her singing....well, not with direct words, anyway. But I've always liked you. You're a good guy and you're not a dolt.
