Ministerial Assn of Jesus Christ, Inc.
Anyone ever heard of this group? I think they are a lot of exUPC guys who left back in the 1980s.
A Bro. Bates, who is part of this group, is coming to preach for us this weekend while our pastor is on vacation. They have about 400 ministers but I had never heard of them before I met this guy.

Re: Ministerial Assn of Jesus Christ, Inc.
A few decades ago our UPC sectional youth leader in Louisiana ran off with the teenage girl living with him and his wife. Of course almost immediately he was pastoring again and I believe became a member of this group. The good news is that this second marriage has lasted a lot longer than the first one he abandoned! That is my only knowledge of this group. About 20 years ago saw this guys name and pic as a member.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

He is collaterally involved, I have attended a couple of their meetings.
The next general conference will be held at Pastor Barley's church, I believe in October.
Was there a more specific question??

The elder, George Bates. He has preached for us once before and he had a very humble loving spirit. He was very familiar type of man and fit in with our church and offered encouraging words.
I think his son pastor's in Winnsboro, Louisiana. His name is Kevin Bates.

This is another one of those mixed Oneness and Trinitarian licensing organizations.
