I'm always disappointed when our traditional concepts of what should be are based only upon the things that have been a part of our realm of minute experience. Even though scripture may have something to say on the subject, if our comfort zone is violated, we resist.
Sure, there is a lot of wackiness out there. But I try not to judge a ministry before searching out what scripture may say on the subject. Then, an understanding of what actually transpires is judged in light of that scripture, rather than by my traditionally biased mindset.
This is difficult to do, and I don't always manage it, but I am trying.

Dunno what anybody was doing or mailing out... but there is a clear difference between
"play the piano prophetically" and
1 Chronicles 25:1
"... who should prophesy with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and the number of the workmen according to their service was..."
The Hebrew verb "to prophesy" meant to speak or sing. It was something done with the human voice, and in this case the prophesying was accompanied with the music of the harps, psalteries and cymbals."
To "play the piano prophetically"
appears to have excluded the human voice which is necessary to prophesy. Maybe it was a typo. Maybe there's more to what they were doing than what is described in the mailing; again, I dunno.
1 Chronicles 25:1 in the NET Bible:
"David and the army officers selected some of the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun
to prophesy as they played stringed instruments and cymbals. The following men were assigned this responsibility..."
"David, together with the commanders of the army, set apart some of the sons of Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun for the ministry of
prophesying, accompanied by harps, lyres and cymbals. Here is the list of the men who performed this service..." NIV
"Next David and the worship leaders selected some from the family of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun for special service
in preaching and music..." The Message
"David and the officers of the army also set apart some of the sons of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, who were
to prophesy accompanied by lyres, harps, and cymbals. This is the list of the men who performed their service..." The Holman Christian Standard Bible
