Re: 2010 Winter Olympics

Last Wednesday we took the kids out of school & we went downtown to a few attractions.
This was at Northern Canada House, a pavilion that celebrates the three territories, Yukon, Northwest, & Nunuvat that comprise the top of Canada.

Here while my wife & Alanna went to the washroom, Kristin, Ryan & I found a "Send an email postcard" to your friends exhibit.
We had to be quiet as there was a presentation going on nearby.
I didn't know whether to be funny or not (I started out kidding around) & then ran out of time.

I needed a hair cut for sure but these are two of the best kids you will ever see.

Ron - that was cute!

I like how you hurried in there with "post to you soon!"

Re: 2010 Winter Olympics

On Wednesday, we also went to see the Paralympic flame (same one as the Olympic one) but we got to go to a rooftop vantage point to see it.
In the background is the International Broadcast Centre where all the media from around the World were stationed.
It was held in Vancouver's newest & second Conference centre.

Re: 2010 Winter Olympics

It was a beautiful day with a beautiful view of our local scenery.

The last picture shows Cypress in the background where snowboarding events were held.
The venue is on the other side of that mountain, on this side you will see houses in what is called "British Properties" big fancy houses that are EXPENSIVE.

The rich live there like Shaq O'neal (yep he has a house) Tommy Chong, are a few that live there.

Re: 2010 Winter Olympics

We also walked up to the Vancouver Art Gallery where the feature exhibit was the drawings of Leonardo Da Vinci.
It cost almost $70 bucks for admission for our family however, it was free for all during the Olympics courtesy of the B.C. Government.

A link to the art gallery.
