My church lost its Apostolic Identity
My church lost its Apostolic Identity last week when we start acting like the Apostolic Church. We went into the streets and on our jobs brought people to church, baptized 140 people in 4 days and I looked around last Sunday and very few in the crowd look Apostolic. So we have a choice to make, look Apostolic or act Apostolic and turn our city upside down. Going back out tonight and hope the number will be over 200 by Friday.

or as Wayne Huntley put it once, "you need some decoys so the new folks won't feel uncomfortable." You just got some decoys is all.

Awesome!
Guess I'll state the obvious too since it appears your post contains a wee bit of provocation.
Neither the "Apostolic Identity" group nor those who reject what the term codifies would expect these 140 to "look" much different than they did last week out on the street. So really, no choice after all.
Anyhoo, I rejoice with you!

Some of you have an unhealthy obsession for what you used to be.

Dunno about you generalization here, Bezerkly my friend.
I look back over a lot of that time and I see a lot of unhealthy things that I just tried to live with. It wasn't doing me any good and I wasn't doing anyone else a lot of good much of the time either.
"Go for it" is what I say to Harley.
