Many years ago went with my husband to Denver ( 1st visit there). Whille he was in his meetings I checked out the sights.
Since it was the "big" city I decided to take the bus that came to the airport.(the hotel shuttle took me to the airport since it was closest bustop )
Visited the Mint, etc AND I shopped.I had purchased several things in a large department store on 16th St downtown and took my packages and left.
Outside on the sidewalk I realized I needed directions and went back inside.
As soon as I re-entered I heard an alarm go off. I'm looking around wondering what happened. A clerk from a nearby counter came and took me to her area. She opened the sack and found the culprit ---large plastic doo-dad on a dress purchased for my daughter. She quickly removed it, I asked for directions and once again left the premises.
Since I was 550 miles from home this could have been an issue. I'm not sure they even used those tags in any of our local stores. I've been told that forcing it open ruins the garment. So it was a lucky break I went back.
The other question.......how did I get out in the first place?
