CC, I remember back in the day when you use to like having some Cons around to debate with and stir up the mix. You don't seem to like that anymore from what I can tell by your recent posting with Rev Randy

I attended AMC Thursday night. I believe that was Dorthea Jones on the organ?

Probably. Her name is pronounced like 'Duretha', not sure how it's spelled. She frequently plays and leads the choir at these events.

Yea, she plays for the strict gatherings. I went to PSR/Westcoast in '08 and she was playing there too.
Aren't you playing at the next one???

You seriously wouldn't want that. All I can play is Chopsticks. People might get tired of shouting to that very quickly. Does have a nice beat, though.

I still like having ultra cons around but the ones who have enough sense to know how to post without coming across as boorish, classless, etc.
No doubt the ultra cons I miss believe in their hearts I am lost but they still have class, civility, and when in the company of those who do not believe like them stand up for the "truth" as they see it but in a manner that promotes discussion not as someone who just enjoys insulting others.
There are also libs on AFF that have the same lack of tact and class which is one of the reasons I do not enjoy AFF much anymore. It is not worth wading through the bad attitudes to get to the good posts by dear people. I know Rev Randy and his liberal counterparts see this as a game and take great pride in how many people they offend or run off but it is a shame.

One thing about the prodical Son that is interesting is that the Father never left Home to Search for His Son... although when the Son decided to Come back Home Dad was Waiting for him... I pray that those who left Home would make the decision to come back... Because I do believe that God will be waiting for them...

BTW I reiterate, there are people who have left the UPC and the whole thing about standards NOT because of standards themselves but the kind of comments we read here. Others who are on the edge with doctrinal questions but have not made up their minds are pushed over by these attitudes
