As usual, you are wrong.

I am offended in your insinuation.

You owe me an apology, but don't worry-- I won't be holding my breath.

Maybe you wish I would.

JD, if u arent blinded by color, did you always look for the good in the Bushes or Clinton like you do BHO ? And did you vote for BO based strictly on his qual"s, not his color (hint: he had no qual"s) zero. Come on just say it, i voted for him because it was long past due we had a brotha as president . No mocking here, and it doesnt make anyone a racist on either side it just is what it is. Its called being human.

Re: The President's Quotes From West Point

I have said a thousand times on this forum that I did not vote for President Obama.

As for looking for the good in Clinton and GWB, let me tell ya.

I served my country well during both Presidencies-- enduring the bad military-related decisions of the past made by Clinton, survivng by God's Grace the ill-informed decisions of GWB.

I don't roundly criticize either one of them, though my anger at GWB's decisions smolder still whenever I think of my fellow injured and dead service members.

GWB's cabinet's handling of Hurricane Katrina never sat well with me either, though ultimately I realize that the bulk of the blame for that fiasco should be placed at the feet of Louisianians who failed their own citizens.

Although I have complimented some of his decisions, please forgive me if I seem harder on GWB.

After all, I'm only human.

Would anyone care to comment on any of these quotes from President Obama's speech and West Point?

Not much to say, good quotes? You could find good quotes from Hitler probably. (NOT comparing him to Hitler at ALL, just using that as an extreme example)

He's always been good at speaches, and saying the "right sounding things".

Infact, ALOT of what democrats say sounds REALLY good in theory.

Feed the hungry, shelter the shelterless, take care of people who don't have jobs/work, take care of the elderly, save the planet(resources), and many more of thier ideology, sound GREAT, and would be great. Put into practice they DO NOT work.

Most of those things I wish could be also, but in the current state/technology of the world, "it ain't happenin". It will only break the system... Which might actually work to their advantage, if they are after power.

Hitler? Really? Not comparing him, but you just did. Shameful.

How about discussing some of the questions from the begining of the thread.

No I did NOT compare HIM to HITLER, I was point out you could take quotes from near ANYONE and say "that sounds good". I used a "bad" person as an example of someone you could pull out a few lines and say "hey that sounds good huh?". You missed what I said , because as soon as you saw Hitler, you went crazy, which I tried to prevent.
