No answer simply means you cannot answer. Exactly what I expected. So, can you at least answer me as to whether your church teaches this same false doctrine that you promote on here? Or, will I again be regaled by your wit and complete inability to answer a simple question?

The thing is we can't remove "for the remission of sins" from Acts 2:38. And in this case "eis" is looking toward the action to be done not an action that was already done. Remission means forgiveness. And forgiveness is through the blood of Jesus.
|
No one is asking you to remove it ... Mizpeh ... it's there but baptism does not cause remission ...

Mark 1:14 Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
Do you think Jesus put these words in the wrong order?
I don't have it all figured out but I find it difficult to believe the words and actions of the apostles in the book of Acts upon the founding day of the church do not somehow agree with what Paul wrote in an epistle years later to the saints in Rome.

You have made the same cardinal sin of equating the gospel ... to the response to the gospel .... w/ your words ...
Interestingly you mention Matthew 1:4 ... Jesus own words .... asking them to believe .... YEARS BEFORE HIS DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION ... of which you feel must be re-enacted to attain salvation he ... God is Salvation .... Jesus. ... provided ...

BP ... the PAJC view is FALSE DOCTRINE ... and ironically .... you do little for your cause ... w/o any substantial exegesis
As for me being unable, or unwilling, to answer simple questions... check my post count ...

Dan, lets cut to the chase here. Do you still preach that one must be baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost, or do you view this as an option?

Help me with my slow learning about what you believe, I do apologize for being a little dense to you, but I really would like to know. Which is it, optional or necessary?

Here is the crux of the matter: may have. Jesus did not say that if you believed you WOULD have eternal life. That would not have been consistent with the Bible.
This easy believism that you seem to be touting does not hold water in light of scrupture.
