By total strangers at a store or restaraut? Not me. Now, if I was at a youth convention where the city is filled up with people from my church I would be less surprised. But a total stranger on a random night...I'd be wondering who this is...does he go to my church. What is the deal? In fact I had a guy recently at church walk up to me and greet me as Brother ________...I was shocked because I had no idea who this guy was, but I did not sneer at him. I did not turn my back and walk away...though I might have had a weird look on my face I was not mean or nasty...it was after he introduced himself that I realized he was the son of a couple that I had not seen in years and he was all grown up. Come on..you want to be treated with respect here and not be compared to Coop...give ME a break ok? Yes I think it is TERRIBLE disgusting and getting really really annoying for people to have such a nasty attitude towards Apostolics and assume the WORST and then want to be treated themselves fairly and as brothers and or sisters.
I don't see how that can be when every other thread is an attempt to bash and trash Apostolics. It's really getting old. I have already gotten sick of certain individuals that I rarely read their posts anymore. There is no way I can fellowship with them...not because they don't agree with me on doctrine, but because every word that comes out of their mouth is a direct or indirect acidic quip about Apostolics or the UPC. It is weary. It does not build faith, it genders strife.

I suppose you have to know my personality. The point of this thread is not their reaction to me, rather it is the fact that they didn't recognize me as being one of them until they saw my lovely wife... Typical stuff.

But let me point this out...I was NOT responding to you. I was responding to someone else and you chose to jump in. That person suggested something bad about them because they had a 'weird look' on their face. And I am saying it gets old for people to assume the worst of Apostolics just because they had a weird look YET they were cordial and thanked you for holding the door. But despite the fact that they were thanking you they were labeled as not being nice or whatever she said....
Now you want to talk about typical? A weird look despite thanking you makes Apostolics still not nice people....
