Re: Emergency meeting @ HQ - S TX related?
Well, no garlands of praise on this thread... guess nothing new to report.

Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth. Proverbs 26:20
or, as it says in The Living Bible:
"Fire goes out for lack of fuel, and tensions disappear when gossip stops"

I guess this calls for a wee bit of defense on my part....
I am only observing a few good men filling new appointments. I have not speculated why that might be occurring.
My "garlands" post was simply code concerning one appointment.
PS Did you have eye surgery? No glasses.

No, no surgery.
I just change pictures every once in a while
and some of them I use are actually me.
The current picture (June 14, 2010) was taken a couple of weeks ago and I didn't have my glasses on. I wear trifocals (actually lineless bifocals so they have three ranges) but they are mostly for reading and they are also transition lenses (go from regular lens to sunglasses). It's just handy to keep them on all the time without fumbling around with them off and on. But when that picture was taken I was in a restaurant and just happened to have removed my glasses for the picture. That picture was just a small piece of a larger picture.

Nice pic of you, Bro. Sam. I had noticed it being new and
had thought to comment on it! You look well!

It's a little blurred.
just about time to change my picture again.
I haven't used the George Clooney one for a while
or haven't used the Kenneth Haney one for a while.
Let's see, who do I want to be today?
Bishop Haywood?
Howard Goss?
Lee Stoneking?
Andrew Urshan?
myself at some time or another?
Back about a year ago I had a picture on here from around 1956 or so when I was at ABI in St. Paul, MN. A friend in Texas happened to see it and called my wife and asked her if she knew I was on an Apostolic forum using an old picture and using the name Sam.

Joel Osteen??? That would be weird.

LOL. I believe it was the son of a Houston area "iconic figure" who exists within the UPC sphere. I guess that narrows it down to two guys, and it doesn't appear to be the guy who was recently criticized on these pages for having some woman with "cut hair" singing in his church.
Just to help those who may be as much in the dark as I am - I too had heard of this. I think "Paul Harvey" (whoever he really is) is just trying to "shake the tree" to see if there is more to the story.
