Funny how unless someone(s) is/are being ridiculed or criticized for having standards, some will call the atmosphere of late in this forum as "boring". I feel that libs resent the cons due to their [libs] inability to give up 'self' in favor of GOD., they're not fooling ME nor many of my "con" friends., and especially NOT GOD.

I didn't say the forum has been "Boring." I said "Dull". Typical con....misquotes everything.

What do you propose people "give up self" to? You say, "God" - and yet the "standards" under question have absolutely nothing to with living for God nor are they even Biblical in any way.

The so-called "cons" are advocating that we all surrender our "self" to:

A fictitious version of history,

To a series of man made "standards" that weren't even invented until the middle of the 20th Century,

To a series of sweeping changes in our Fundamental Doctrine and Articles of Faith that were implemented with complete disregard for the parliamentary procedures that we had all agreed to follow,

And more.

Just where does God factor into any of this? Sadly, God was been left out when we abandoned the Cross in the formulation of our own standards and doctrines. Personally, it was when I realized all of this that I truly surrendered myself to God.
