Some Jews who practice mikveh do so more than once.
It can be used as an initiatory rite when someone converts to Judaism.
Some men do it every week just prior to sundown on Friday so they will be "clean" and "reconsecrated" for the sabbath.
Some women do it each month after their period for ceremonial cleanliness and/or as a burial for the death of a child who was not born.
Some OP's require rebaptism for a person who may have grown cold in the Lord or who may have not been serving God for a while.
Some OP's get rebaptized every so often as a symbol of dedication to God.
Some OP's insist on rebaptism in the name of "Jesus Christ" for someone who may have been baptized in the name of "the Lord Jesus Christ" or in the name of "Jesus."
Some OP's believe the name of the Father is Lord, the name of the Son is Jesus, and the name of the Holy Ghost is Christ and it takes all three "names" to complete the one name of God. And if "Lord Jesus Christ" had not been spoken the first time, the full name of God was not used and rebaptism is necessary.
Other OP's believe "Lord Jesus Christ" is a trinitarian type formula and not all three words should be used but something shorter.
Some OP's believe that if the words "Father, Son, and Holy Ghost" were used in baptism a person needs to get rebaptized in the name of Jesus with or without titles like "Lord" and/or "Christ."
Some OP's believe that if a person was sprinkled with water or had water poured on him, he would need to be rebaptized by immersion.
There are several reasons why OP's practice rebaptism.
