I don't use absolutes like all for very good read ... because words mean things.

Wow. You are a far better man than me. Assuming actual sex (or 'making out') took place, I may through an extreme dose of help from God Himself, be able to forgive ONE indiscretion to the point where we can stay together and slowly heal our marriage, but beyond that I don't think I could. OK, I could technically "forgive" but could NEVER trust her again.

Re: UPC Pastor Convicted of Slander in Pulpit!
Boy, has this thread become a thread of "assuming!" If I read the many posts right, much of what has been said on this thread was all an assumption. Could the lady in question not have been at the pool by herself and the "Mr." showed up and was then seen there by the husband? As much evidence for this as some of the other assumptions.
And boy, there are some on here, whom I don't want on the jury if I find myself in need of mercy.
I guess we have given her a "fair trial and by george, hanged her!"
Oh, and I guess the preacher should not be questioned. It seems that the person that caused all this to be, has been discussed very little in this thread. Just sayin'...

One has to remember even after saying vows our spouses are still apt to make mistakes, act out, or have some deep disorder that needs to be dealt with! Adultry is a Biblical reason for divorce it does not mean you have to divorce. I dont believe there is a right or wrong number! If you sinned 490 times in an hour how many times would you expect forgiveness from God?? There is no end to his mercy and are we not all striving to be like Him??

Re: UPC Pastor Convicted of Slander in Pulpit!
"One of the reasons the pastor gave James Driver as grounds to biblically remarry was that James Driver once found his then-wife Angela Driver wearing a bikini at a swimming pool while with the husband of a mutual friend. The pastor felt that constituted exhibitionism and met the biblical definition of fornication, according to the defense summary."

The word "found" is interestingly placed.
