I empathize with your condition. I was told in 2002 that my optic nerves were so swollen from increased pressure in my brain that they were about to pop, and if that happened, my world would be dark forever.
I tell ya, I was scared to even blink, thinking it might be the last I see of the world. And although my husband lived with me at the time, there is no way I'd trust him to care for me the rest of my life.
I'd also been wondering about your getting a dog. I have seen them used and think it's a cool thing. They are great dogs to own and will really be a great help to you.
