Re: Tribute to Walter/Edwin Hawkins

I love Walter Hawkins and the entire family. Whether you like Black gospel or not, you can't help but at least love one of their songs. Walter Hawkins lyrics have substance, so many songs that are scripture based. Unlike some of these so-called gospel artists who care more about the "beat" of the song rather than a message that can be brought forth through a song. His lyrics speaks to the heart. At a time in my life where I was struggling with certain things, I would listen to "Be Grateful" it brought me to tears every single time. I love all their songs!!!! I sure will miss his music. I have heard that Love Alive 6 will go on and Love Center Choir will be a recording in October.

Some of my family was there at the Musical and Memorial. They said that there was no chaos while standing in line for the tickets. A few did camp out over night. My family got to the line at 8 am and were number 418. Perhaps the chaos began after there were no more tickets available.
