IF the question is NOT the integrity or credibility of the college, then this thread is sort of moot is it not?
Simply ask DKB why he choose that sometime (then dissect his response if you feel it's warranted).
Do renowned US schools never use any "life experiences"?
With or without a doctorate, is it your position DKB is somehow not qualified to head up a seminary?

If you are earning a degree you have to complete a course of study at any accredited school in the US.
I think it (Bernard's position as head of UGST) is like Barry Bonds homerun record it has an asterisk beside it.

I did? I'll remind you, your post was directed toward Baron not me. So you couldn't have been directing that reply to me.
But I said something similar. Is there more to that sentence? "For me, it's not so much the college AS...." The "as" is a game-changer there, Hoovie.

Yes. His position as teacher is dependent on the PhD.
While it might technically be acceptable, it is amazingly deficient compared to some of those who have worked many more years to get their degrees.
He can stand and say I have a PhD but can his education really stand up before some of those Max posted?

I aint got no college, but there aint no "as" in your sentence.
NEVERTHELESS, the subject is not the college, it is why the president of the only UPCI seminary would choose to go there.

Re: Get your Degree Today
Inconsistencies with people's criticism of LS and the defensiveness with DKB.
The point isn't that South African University is a diploma mill, it's that it's yet another high profile theologian with a school no one's ever heard of as his education in a field most relative to what he does. What we do know of said school, is that their academic rigor is inferior to American theological schools, especially those with ATS affiliation.

Touche'.
I do believe, of course, the college is an issue. But the greater question (that's what my above sentence means) is beyond just the issue of SAU's qualifications.
Either way, I'm surprised you replied to Baron with a response intended for me.

So we have two applicants to run our new Seminary. One has a PhD from the University of South Africa and the other has a PhD from Dallas Theological Seminary. Who gets hired?

But see DKB is not that way.
I think he and his students feel he is qualified to head up the seminary without the South African study. Apparently the oversight committees for UGST accreditation felt similarly in recent months (unless of course there thought it bought even more credibility).
