Re: Sex Scenes
Not sure why I am mentioning this. I guess because I have the day off and am babbling. But, there is this guy who comes in at work and most of the women barf when they see him, including me. He is not ugly. He would be good looking, I guess, if it were not for his demeanor. He has this tongue-dragging look all the time. Like he would bed anything that walked. I know that sounds crass, but I am not sure how else to describe it.
Anyway, my co-worker started seeing him and she is very loose and been divorced three times. She broke it off with him after a couple months and said he only wanted one thing. She says "I will not let him take advantage of me like that".
Well, she has her standards and we have ours, right? Anyway, she said she can't stand it when a man only wants one thing. Women and men do have different priorities. He told her he thought a woman "like her" would not want any attachments and she said it doesn't stop her from dreaming. Just goes to show he doesn't have a clue about women.

Very true. Just seems to work in a slightly different way for women.
Of course there's an Every Woman's Battle too (while I've read it and think it's good, they started getting carried away with this series - Every _____ Battle, fill in the blank and they have it!)
http://www.amazon.com/Every-Womans-B.../dp/1578566851
I always enjoy reading the reviews on books like these.

This is just my opinion, but sometimes I think some of these books make you think you have a problem when you really don't.
I guess I was turned off by my mother reading, for one, "I'm Okay, You're Okay", etc. I can't remember the other psychobabble stuff she got into. She was okay with me BEFORE she delved into this stuff. I steer a way from them, generally. I think I'm a normal, healthy, honest person with certain desires and weaknesses like everyone else. I know that if I submit my life to God, I am fine. If I don't, I WILL fulfill the desires of the flesh.

Then your healthy skepticism would make your review of the book that much more interesting. Read it.

I had ordered Every Young Man's Battle for my son with the workbook. But, after looking at it, I felt it might do more harm than good, so I never gave it to him.

What does dad think?
I'm not being conscending, but I really think women in general have a naive view of male sexuality.

This is exactly why I did not give this book to my son. It takes a magnifying glass to things that you would otherwise not give second thought to. Makes you think about things you never would have otherwise.

It was my husband's view that got me thinking this way in the first place. He thought it was too full of religious platitudes and made a person feel guilty when perhaps they shouldn't. I relooked it over with that view and thought he was probably right. Hey, I'm not a man. It's hard for me to say.
