So, in short, I don't know what ALL women think. I know what I think and sometimes I don't think a thing and sometimes I do. Sometimes I do is rare, but it's still there, just to be honest.

As a woman, yes, we are wired differently than men and we don't think 24/7 about sex. However, with that said, I have noticed that since I'm now single things are different for me.
I could go into that more, but I think we are all adult enough to understand what I'm saying without having to spell it out.

RG, most definitely some of these responses overlap. The issue of how we are wired is what I'm getting at.
I sense that some women don't consider the vast differences in psychology at work in these moments. This really all plays in to the thread topic and how we respond to this, how big a deal it is, etc.
Every Woman's Battle definitely talks about sexual temptation that is unique to women, even though it appears to be similar to a man. Visual, emotional, etc... What goes on in the cranium and the heart is where the differences are.

Awwww, he was so awesome!! Did you know that the KGB had sent out hit men after him? He hated Communism. Once he and Ward Bond were being followed by three KGB agents in California. They grabbed the guys, took them down to the beach, made them kneel in the sand, held a gun to their heads just to scare them to death. They then put them on a plane back to Russia. That is just so John Wayne!! I love him!!!

Not entirely clear what you're saying though.
Is there a "pause" button where a man is presented options on how to "respond" or does the brain have reactions on its own?

I have never been a man, but I agree with Renda, that now that she is single, things are different but I would venture to say that now that she is older it makes a difference too. It is different if you are a woman in your 20's. Sex drive is very low....emotions are what fuels young women.

I think men are much more visual and sexual by nature, I will grant you that.

No, we're not. I think some are being extremely stubborn about admitting there are clear, distinct ways each gender is hard-wired. This isn't a blanket explanation, this is understanding the psychology behind it.
When you say we are shaped by books, movies, school, experience, life, etc... these are cultural shapers that affect our personality, value system, etc... What I'm referring to is physiological.
My question was: Do you think men and women are processing things the same way? I used the example "the look." I'm trying to learn something about those who have interacted so far, and the perspectives that inform their conclusions.

It's like reading Linda Goodman's Sun Signs, IMO. One of my sisters was really in to that years ago. I told her, "You could close your eyes, pick a page and find something that you thought described you." She stopped reading it. LOL!

Re: Sex Scenes
I find it humorous for people to trash books they've never read, by the way.

Yes - - I could teach a seminar on "Wake up you Idiots and Be Sexy with your Husband" now! or "Don't Give them a Reason to Wander" or "It's Not a Sin to Have Fun (with your husband)" or oh, I could go on and on.
