I've so often said that!! That God has a sense of humor in this area!!
But, the scripture DOES tell a man that he's to LOVE his wife and the wife is to SUBMIT to her husband.
He knows men aren't emotional creatures, so he instructs them to LOVE knowing they would have to work on that.
He knows women love naturally, but they would need an extra nudge to be submissive, so he instructs them to submit.
If we could just get that all down - - - it would help in EVER area of our relationships!

I agree with your post, BUT I must add in Ephesians 5:21:
" Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God."
He asks that we submit "one to another" and then goes on to explain how we would do that. So, men are not off the hook by saying that women are the only ones to submit! Just sayin'

Re: Sex Scenes
I think it is interesting here that not much Scripture is being thrown into this thread. I know, I know,... why complicate the issue with the Word of God.
Job 31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
2Pe 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
2Pe 2:13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
2Pe 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
2Pe 2:15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
2Pe 2:16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
2Pe 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
Sorry folks, but if you view that stuff on your favorite tv shows you are in sin.

Eyes full of adultery? So if you watch any story in which the characters commit adultery (with or without a sex scene), the viewer is guilty of sin? Does that hold true for books, too?

Re: Sex Scenes
I suspect if a man feels sexually unfulfilled, there's a good chance his wife is feeling just as emotionally unfulfilled. A good man will concentrate on meeting his wife's needs rather than throwing fits about his own and vice-versa.

Hmmm I have heard this before but I am not so sure...He also tells the older women to TEACH the younger women to love their husbands.
If they naturally do it then why do they need to be taught?
Titus 2:3-4.

By saying they "love naturally" I mean they are nuturers natually - it comes easily for a woman to love and nuture.
So, the older women "teach" them to channel that love and nuturing into being a lover...............is that better?
