You are not familiar with the quran. It is not set out as a historical record. Infact Mohammad was illiterate and dictated it into writen form.

You need a home bible study. In the bible violence is NOT coupled with war, or battle but wickedness as in cities,. Muslim violence is extensively against other Muslims and also in their enemy which is us that are spirit filled Christians.

This is a ridiculous statement. Talk about needing a bible study, holy smoke.

You do need to study. Violence in the bible was the wicked world before Noah and the flood. It is bad education on your part that abuses the modern culture to interpret scripturee.
When David was sent to battle by God to fight the enemy of Israel, God didn't call that violence.

you think burning "the holy Quran" (as our President has called it) will produce holy smoke?

WHAT???? When did God say it wasn't "Violence"?? Are you for real or do you just come on here and say the stupidest, most idiot stuff just to fry our brains? So the massive death in I Samuel, II Samuel......heck, I'm not gonna take the time to list it.....Saul, ordered to kill EVERYTHING, David cutting off Goliath's head, Battle of Jericho...that's not violence? Are you on something?

The Bible says there is a time to fight. It doesn't say anything about there being a time to burn Qurans.

Re: Terry Jones...Sounds like a few on AFF

First of all, I agree that the pastor is using bad judgment. However, he has a right to use bad judgment, because he's an American and we have the liberty to act stupid if we so choose.

Secondly, the BIG difference between a pastor burning the Quran and the mosque building is that while people are raising a FUSS about a mosque being built at ground zero, no one is threatening to kill large numbers of muslims because of it.

On the flip side, a pastor threatens to burn a sacred book and suddenly our troops are placed in grave danger, among other things.

Christians making a fuss about something is not the same as extremist muslims making a fuss about something because the former stops with verbal abuse and acid pens, while the latter doesn't stop until people are dead.

If folks can burn flags and Bibles in this country, then they can most certainly have a Quran bonfire and call it a "right."

So on a personal level, I don't support the pastor's actions, but from a political standpoint--he can burn books if he wants to.
