It's amazing to me to see the hypocrisy from those who think one is right and the other is wrong! BOTH are inflammatory acts protected by freedom of speech, and I hope officials find a way to prevent both from happening.

And here is Rauf's threat. What he is saying, in essence, is, "If we do not get our way America is in danger."

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf said that if he knew how controversial the project would be, he “never would have done this – not have done something that would create more divisiveness.”

Rauf says he must go ahead with the proposal because "national security now hinges" on it.

I cannot stand someone threatening me in order to get their way and I absolutely cannot stand when someone is using fear as an accessory.

If we are going to live under these continued threats because of everything we do and say, then bring it and get it over with. It's only going to escalate. We've fought two wars that we cannot win because both Afghanistan and Iraq's constitution are written to support barbaric Sharia Law.

If there is a such thing as a "moderate" Islam, Imam Rauf is showing us that this probably is not true. At least, he certainly makes us question it.
