Yes, we understand your view as you are given free allowance on this forum to denegrade a group that you basically despise. I always thought that was against the rules, but apparently, someone wants it said, so you get the pass. Nice for you, huh?

Whether you burn a koran, or get a teddy bear named mohammed, draw a cartoon, say allah is a whore, or just be a good christian peace maker, their hate will rage on....They will still try to make everyone submit to their version of God. And if you don't, death to an infidel....
"Until they love their children more then they hate us there can be no peace...."Thats a quote, I forgot who said it, but they knew what they were talking about.

Muslims say they believe in Jesus too, yet I've never seen them go nuts over Jesus being denigrated

It IS bargaining with the devil.

Amen. We're dealing with a very interesting enemy here. Clothed in religion, the enemy can use the "Freedom of Religion" in their work to subvert the "Freedom of Religion". We face an interesting problem. Sadly, to fight this... we might have to redefine what is or is not a "religion".

I see what you're saying. But there is a personal responsibility not to make this situation worse. Now, no doubt, extremists will attempt to make the situation worse... but we shouldn't be doing that. We should be meeting their challenge and defeating them.... not emboldening them to kill more. If a demonstration in Afghanistan takes place as a response to this Pastor's burning of the Koran and soldiers are killed, those soldiers wouldn't have died that day had this pastor called off this lunacy. Why? There wouldn't have been a demonstration. It's common sense. The pastor is endangering our troops, our citizens, and aiding the enemy.
For all we know...recuitment might have been low and some Saudi billionaire has paid this pastor to do this. I highly doubt it... but the point is, the action works to their favor. It might also turn public opinion around the world. We don't need this right now. Think tactically. If I were Obama or the Governor of Florida, I'd stop him in the name of our domestic and international security interests. This is WAR. This pastor is a gnat. But he's going to buzz around this beast's nose until it goes hog wild... and logistically and strategically... we're not ready for that should it happen. I'd have him in custody already and face the political ramifications. I'd rather be seen as a leader with our troops and citizens interests at heart than a spectator to an event that could very well endanger international and domestic security.

I agree. The problem I see is that young impressionable youths are recruited and manipulated by these fanatics. There are tens of thousands, if not millions, of Muslim youth who are "blind idealists". We often call it "true believer syndrom". (We often see it in new converts in our churches.) You know how teens and young adults can be. Many of these youths are going to watch or watch recordings of this pastor burning the Koran. This will make it all too easy for many of them who are on the fense about this whole thing to just "join the Jihad". What the man is doing will only make things worse. If this propels some of these kids into the hands of fanatics... not only could more American troops die...but more Muslim youth will face death too as our troops respond. My question is...
Does this pastor love our troops, our citizens, and the youth in the Muslim world?
If so... he should cancel the burning, get out of this entirely, PREACH the Gospel, and stop dabbling in things that are far far above him. He's out of his league here.
If we see a surge in terrorism after this.... we should draft his kids to fight in this war. Personally, I'd already have him in custody.
