(3) JD why don't you quit worrying about the rich and just get out there and work hard and get rich yourself. That way the government could tax you more.
I don't like more taxes.... but (4) I'm sure glad I've made more to be taxed on. I want to pay more taxes, not because the rate has been increased but because I have made more money.

(1) Profit margins? We're talking about taxes and I don't think that their taxes would eat that much into their profits.
For the purpose of this discussion, I think the threshold should not be $250k, but $500k. For the smaller business owners who make less than $500k, maybe the taxation could cut into their profits significantly... maybe I am not sure.
(2) I am glad for anyone who is doing well in this time of financial trouble. I am not jealous neither do I dislike the wealthy. My opinions do not stem from an envious heart-- this is an
ASSUMPTION that many make about the person that thinks that the wealthy should be taxed.
Just because I don't think they need help from the government means that I want them to fail. THIS is the crux of my argument. There are people who NEED help and then there are folks who don't. Financially speaking, the wealthy do not need any help form the government.
(3) You weren't trying to make that personal, so I own't make it so.
(4) That's how I would feel about it if I was making $500K annually-- I doubt sincerely that I would be balking at tax bonuses expiring at a time where our nation could use the revenue. After all, it's my God who provided the riches and my nation that God used as the plattform for my blessings. Why not support the nation that helped me get where I am.
