Regarding everything else you said here... yup, ignorant was the right word. Sorry, coadie. Seriously though, I have no idea what you're saying.

You were calling Blackwell ignorant.

I understand perfectly what I posted. I guess I can't keep up with who is who, especially when you are responding to something I've said to him. If the shoe fits coadie... and I didn't call him ignorant (at least in this case), I said it'd be his choice to remain ignorant/unlearned on the issue.

No, you are making the mistake of assuming, just because it is in a political trend, that's it's wrong, because of the anti-culture idea. What is true is that social justice in secular circles is nothing more than self-righteousness. But that doesn't change the fact that "social justice" is a Jesus thing.
|
You speak for others and put words in their mouth?
Social Justice was not a "Jesus thing"
Charity, humbleness, meekness etc are not whot the modernist movement calls social justice.

You are really having a hard time with the whole "social justice" word aren't you? Is that what this is? To you, "social justice" is an exclusive word of fringe nutcases that are your political enemies?
That would make sense of why you are having such a hard time here. How about this... broaden the term. And yes, the teachings of Jesus and instructions of the prophets fall perectly in line with social justice. Some make it their primary mission, other make it a natural outflow of a Gospeled heart... part of something a Gospel community does. Light and salt.

I ignore your comments sometimes when they don't make sense. Sometimes I even make the mistake of interacting with posts of yours that aren't making sense.
That entire post you had with this quote did not make sense.

Actually you did. How could he remain ignorant if he wasn't ignorant?
The ignorance label is common with the elitist pushiing a social justice agenda.

Obama's partner on the Annenberg Challenge
Bill ayers goes by his Muslim name Abu Zayd.
From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists.

The $1.25 billion in question originated in an out-of-court civil settlement between the Department of Agriculture and lawyers for black farmers in a case now known as Pigford v. Vilsack, or simply, "Pigford II." Thousands of plaintiffs allege they experienced systemic racial discrimination by department officials. Congress already had authorized $100 million of that sum in 2008. It was the second such settlement. The original lawsuit, initiated in 1997 and settled out of court in 1999, to date has netted black plaintiffs more than $1 billion in USDA relief, mainly in the form of cash payments. The calls for more came about after plaintiffs' lawyers had argued that many eligible parties lacked the opportunity to file prior to the deadline.
|
Settle the case and pay in full 3 times.
2,000 farmers discriminated against.
I am wondering how 60,000 claims got filed when the Ag census indicates that there were about 29,000 total black farmers in the entire country at that time. To date over 22,000 have been paid.
This is social justice.

What Is 'Social Justice' Teaching?
From his post as Professor of Education, William Ayers became a leading advocate of "social justice" teaching, i.e., getting students to believe that they are victims of an unjust, oppressive and racist America. After a few years of this indoctrination, young people are ripe targets for community organizers to mobilize them to vote and carry out "revolution."
The National Association of Scholars reports that the term "social justice" is today understood to mean "the advocacy of more egalitarian access to income through state-sponsored redistribution." That is academic verbiage for Barack Obama's assertion that he wants to "spread the wealth around."

I'd encourage you not to go around saying people are "stealing" from you. It makes for good rhetoric, but it's very foolish if you are trying to go beyond rhetoric.

Consent is consent. Lack of consent is lack of consent. Theft is theft.

Christianity is not for people who think religion is a pleasant distraction, a nice alternative, or a positive influence. Messy spirituality is a good term for the place where desperation meets Jesus. More often than not, in Jesus’ day, desperate people who tried to get to Jesus were surrounded by religious people who either ignored or rejected those who were seeking to have their hunger for God filled. Sadly, not much has changed over the years. - Mike Yaconelli
