I find it conceivable that a 47 year old man and a 16-year old girl could both want to have sex...perhaps equally so...perhaps with the younger wanting it moreso than the elder.
That is not the issue to me. To me the issue is who has the greater responsibility both legally and morally to not do what they want to do. I think it's clear that this responsibility ultimately lies with the older pastor in this case.
There are countless underage children who desperately want to drink alcohol. However desirous they may be, if I as an adult began supplying them with alcohol, I would expect to shoulder the bulk of the legal and moral responsibility. It's just a part of being a grown-up.
