I Hope You All Enjoy Your Midweek Gatherings!

I am so glad for the opportunity to attend worship services in the middle of the week!

I hope everyone who reads this takes advantage of the opportunity available to them-- tonight or tomorrow, at home or in a sanctuary.

AFF,

I appreciate you all and I love you as best as I can. I pray for you guys often when requested, and in the case of Coadie, Esther and Decaon Blues, without a standing request!

Have a good night!

Re: I Hope You All Enjoy Your Midweek Gatherings!

I go to a church called The Hamilton Dream Center.
It is about 9.5 miles from my house.
I live in the City of Forest Park in Hamilton County in SW Ohio.
Hamilton is in Butler County.
Our church web site is http://www.hamiltondreamcenter.org/

We have services on Sunday morning and on Wednesday evenings.
On Wednesday we have a little over 100 children who attend Super Kids Church. We feed them dinner which is usually pizza but is some times hot dogs or barbecue. They meet in the auditorium because they are the largest group there on Wednesdays and the auditorium is the largest room. Our Senior Pastor, Children's Pastor and a group of others are in charge of that service. We also have about 50 teenagers who meet in the church basement. Our Youth Pastor and some others are in charge of that meeting. We also have a group called College and Career that meets in the Church conference room. I'm not sure how many are in that group. Then there is an adult group that meets in an upstairs Sunday School room for midweek Bible Study. This group runs from 3 to maybe 6 or 7 people. This group is taught by different people. The pastor's wife and another woman taught for a while. I taught it for most of 2008. At that time we had from 8 to 10 people but some of those have been drafted since then to help with Kids Church. We don't have official elders in our church, men or women appointed or elected to that office, but there are a few folks, including me, that are considered elders. A couple of them are teaching right now. I ordinarily get to the Wednesday service but tonight we had a rain storm and our electricity went out at our house. We were informed that it would not be back on until around 9 pm and since we didn't know how widespread the black out was we did not try to go to church.

Re: I Hope You All Enjoy Your Midweek Gatherings!

During the month of October in youth group, we are talking about identity. Each Wednesday the kids come dressed as something different- last night was "nerd night". We has a blast and it really brings home the message that no matter what we look like on the outside, God looks at the heart.

The kids were a riot! And us leaders had fun with it too!!

And then, of course, there's the opportunity to turn LIFE into a worship service rather than just attending one.

There you go trying to challenge Christians to be Christians again....

Dude we're in America!

When will you ever learn!

Re: I Hope You All Enjoy Your Midweek Gatherings!

American Christians don't have to fast and pray-- we have doctors, lawyers, walmart and a government that lets us build big churches for us to gather in.

We're American Christians-- we don't need no stinking miracles!

Why learn the art and power of praying when there's pay-per-view?

Some crazy American Christians actually claim to speak in tongues, but when you look at them and you look at us, there's barely a difference anyway, except some are just more religulous.

We are American Christians and soon Jesus will lift us from our houses, condos and Hummers and cary us to our bigger manision in the sky-- where the streets are paved with gold!

So you can keep your challenging to yourself.

We're already on our way to heaven!

Why don't you go encourage the people in 3rd world countries to live a life of worship-- they really, really need it.
