Question...

If Jesus taught the disciples that they would see the Great Tribulation... was he mistaken???

NOT going to the wilderness, NOT going to hunt, shoot and kill animals to eat, NOT going out in the woods looking for water, NOT believing for a great or small tribulation, NOT running to the hills, NOT storing up cans of beans and water, NOT teaching FEAR, DOUBT, UNBELIEF and living in FEAR of what man can do to me or my family.
Looks like some of you folks need some good FAITH PREACHING! Some are FAR too serious about all this survival stuff! I don't believe a word of it and never will.

Those who believe in a post-trib rapture believe that the church will go through a time of tribulation during which the forces of darkness dominating the social, political, economic, and even military-industrial aspects of civilization will wage war against the church.

Basically the Fourth Reich on a global scale.

So my question for those of you who believe in the post-trib rapture, what preparations have you made to 'go through it?'
What did Joseph tell Pharoah to do when it was revealed that seven years of famine were prophesied?

Quote:
Not merely in the area of personal, individual, family preparation, but CHURCH preparation? Have you established a network of fellow believers, trustworthy and known to you, that you can depend on (and who can depend on you)?
"Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (Heb 10:25)

Quote:
And finally, what would you say to someone who just recently came to the conclusion that post-trib is correct Bible truth?
Congratulations!

Quote:
Just pray and keep going to church?
By all means, and when you pray, ask God for his direction during this time.

Quote:
Or are there specific steps to be made to prepare for such a time of trouble? Contacts to be made, things to be acquired and things to let go of...?

What say ye?
If there's coming a time when one cannot buy or sell without taking the mark of the Beast, then take steps to "buy and sell" while there is no mark.

This whole Yahwa, YAWAH, Yaway, Yahwey, Yeshua, Yesus, Joshua, Yeshua Hamishea stuff is goofy and people that get into it are weird. They feel so inferior and have to have some goofy doctrine that they believe is so much better and then want to try and prove it to everyone to make themselves feel better about themselves. Its not about ministering to people or bringing Salvation, healing and deliverance to people - Its about their little hobby horse doctrine. GOOFY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you want to speak Hebrew - move to Israel, learn the language and become a Messianic Evangelist. If you speak ENGLISH - The name is Jesus Christ not Yeshua.
Im just glad that one as goofy, weird, elitist as myself has someone so nice and loving and caring as you around to teach me all about being a mature Christian.

To prepare? Well take no thought what you and your family shall eat or drink bro, He's gonna provide for you. I'd start going crazy sharing the gospel with anyone who will listen and living more passionately for Christ than you ever have before. You have to spend more time in prayer, and in His Word, and in fasting, because if you can't walk with the footsoldiers how do you think you will run with the horsemen? You need to focus more on being spiritually ready than being physically ready.

It is not my job to decide what is a heaven or hell issue, that's up to scripture. It is not my job to privately interpret scripture, adding or taking away, that is wrong as well. It is however commissioned to me to rightly divide the word of truth and to study to show myself approved. God's blessings. JBol

Re: For those who believe in a post-trib rapture..

I did a thorough research and study on the historical origin of the secret, pre-trib "rapture" of the church doctrine, Dispensationalism and the Millennial Reign, but not the Great Tribulation. I posted my comments under "Pre-Trib Rapture??" My study left open for me the question of the Church being prepared for the Great Tribulation. We definately need leaders who will listen to the voice of God, for the Church needs led in the right direction. For many years Oneness Pentecostals/Apostolics have believed and taught the traditional LIES on the Second Coming. Many denominal churches across our country have already come out of the "rapture" theory, but the Pentecostals are lagging way behind. There is a movement of God across our land back to what was believed before the Irvingite Movement (out of which the "rapture" doctrine originated in 1830). Students at key pre-trib Bible schools are turning back to the post-trib view in rapidly increasingly numbers -- often without school authorities knowing about it. There is every indication that the post-trib view will again assume a place of prominence as the pre-tribulational theory continues to lose adherents.

Aquila has an idea that I have endorsed, feeling this was given to me by God. The small, un-affiliated groups of believers meeting in homes, garages, wherever, will be used of God. I know there are some who want to deny the Great Tribulation and teach it is nothing any different from what the Church has always suffered since the beginning, but I can't agree.

I feel the Church will be taken care of mightily by God, and that it has work to do through the Tribulation. I see the 7 plagues in Revelation as the Great Tribulation, and they have an OT counterpart in the 7 plagues that fell on the Egyptians. Did God have to remove the children of Israel from Egypt's land to pour out plagues on the Egyptians? No, He did not but kept them safe from every plague.

Re: For those who believe in a post-trib rapture..

It seems that I am the odd man out on this. When I was younger I was one of the few who believed in a post trib rapture, I kept that to myself. But, as I have gotten older I now firmly believe the rapture will take place pre-trib. I agree that it is ok to have different opinions, that said I firmly believe that is HAS to be pre-trib.

Rev 4:1 is the Rapture and we to, like John, will only "see" what hapens.

Paul did not say its all right to have different opinions.

He said:

Let no man DECEIVE YOU BY ANY MEANS........that day shall not come except there come a falling away first and that man of sin be revealed the son of perdition.

So among the differing opinions some are deceived some are not.
