Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

This ruling should be reversed. The judge is outside her jurisdiction.
The congress should step back and let the military make the rule. They are the ones risking lives.

I've known many and it has never "rubbed off" (GROOOOOOSSSSSSSS) on me in the least.

I have never been one to hide my head in the sand over this issue, I think it is HUGE problem in the church, there is just as much of an "don't ask, don't tell" mentality in the church culture as there is in the military. It amazes me that people just want to ignore the elephant in the room.

I am well aware that there are no easy answers on the subject in regards to the church, but I am convinced that the current methods are broken. The way that most churches view it and deal with it doesn't even come close to being appropriate. The whole "they are evil and must be destroyed" mentality makes me sick to my stomach. If you believe it is sin, then that is just it, it is sin. What is your method of dealing with sinners, hopefully compelling them with love? Unless you want to start hating people because they gossip, or lie, or whatever...

In my life, I have never know one person who was gay who choose to be that way. In reality they usually hide it, fight it, try to blend in, deny it... for years. Who would choose something that made them hated, laughed at, picked on, discriminated against?

You said so many good things in this post, I don't even know where to start. I'll just say, "AMEN." "Don't ask, don't tell" is alive and well in the church, especially in the music department. Just play good stuff, make us dance and run around the church, and keep your private time private!!

Not bigoted in any way. it is personal preference. If gays are entitled to personal preference, so are normal people. It is a two way street.
