How do we get around this? The reason we don't have unisex quarters today is for the safety and privacy of others. What's the "shower solution" (for example)? If the gay man or woman is out about it, wouldn't everyone feel like their privacy is invaded?

If I knew that I was serving with a gay man, I'd take certain precuations (when possible) to ENSURE my privacy is not invaded.

But seriously, I'd rather just not to have to deal with the knowledge of some other guys homosexual tendencies. It just keeps everything sane.


To repeal DADT will create so many "things" that should to be addressed if this becomes acceptable.

In essence, once DADT is repealed, the Federal government will have to sanction gay marriage.


What about Christian Chaplains-- will they be forced to "go along" with sin or maybe they'll just be asked to "quiet down" concerning that particular sin.

Yes, Timmy, I have seen the welcome thread. I never expected that kind of reaction to my presence here. I am deeply honored, flattered yet humbled by it.

But I think it's playing with fire. I have not posted there as I imagine the thread is the subject of a flurry of admin messages right now discussing what to do about it. I suspect that the thread may be the proverbial straw that breaks the camel's back and ends my tenure here. We'll see.
