You know I am slightly at a quandary what to think. Because LW music ministered to me at a time when I was really going through a bad time many years ago.
So part of me would love to go hear a concert.
But are we so conditioned to tolerant we do not bring people into repentance. We don't want to "hurt" anyones feelings by not telling them what they need to hear. ....anyway am I used to accepting people that I would over look sin just so someone can feel "okay"?
Thad its Cymbala's message that is called "whats love got to do with it"
this is taken from the website:
Join us, as Pastor Jim Cymbala shares a message entitled "What's Love Got To Do With It", along with The Lanny Wolfe Trio.

No - I do NOT agree with homosexuality, fornication, adultery, divorce, lying, stealing or any other sin, but I do agree with Forgiveness.
God forgives every sin and washes us clean from all unrighteousness.
My music was greatly influenced by Lanny Wolfe and the first time I ever walked into a UPC church - was because it was heavily advertised - THE LANNY WOLFE TRIO would be in Concert with the JCM Choir.
I went - was blessed - but kinda shocked - it looked to me that every single guy in the choir looked exactly alike and especially the girls - the all looked exactly the same! I thought it was an incredible concert - but the look was so odd to me! LOL I was Church of God and did a lot of LW music.

Doesn't it bother you at all that LW has never admitted any wrongdoing? He has never asked for restoration, etc.
Even Mark Hanby at least made a show of being "restored" by a Charismatic leader (who later divorced himself).
I would go see them in concert and I am nice to him in person but I would not want my church to host him.
While you are correct we cannot judge everybody we can use a reasonable amount of common sense when putting people on our platforms. We are not talkiing "standards" here. We are talking gross moral failure that has never been resolved.

Hon, did you get scared by punctuation marks as a young'un?!
Just teasing...don't get upset...
Listen Thad, I am agreement with PM on this. I absolutely love their music and would love to hear them again live, but a concert is just a different animal here to me. Can't really explain it other than a bit not right somehow.

I was about to ask the same question.
If he was openly living with a man would AP feel differently. If someones sin was made public then the denial or apology must also be public. Anything less is simply not adequate.
