I agree. However, this isn't going away. It's being thrown out there constantly and Bernard is using it as a "bully pulpit." I know this is hash and re-hashed, but it seems the reason it is, is because it keeps getting pushed by the leadership.

Im just confirming it says what it says and what it means is, as Paul follows or imitates Christ they should imitator Paul .

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

So...one day in bible school, Dan Segraves says, "Let's see who can be the first one to find "God inhabits the praises of His people" in the bible. Come on, who can do it first."
Bibles were getting torn to shreds. And no one stood up. It was great. He was doing a lesson on misused and misquoted verses. The "Follow me" was one of those verses.

I have some family that feels the same way. For the last few years their plan was to stay in and "be the change they wanted to see" but with the new push for Apostolic Identity they gave up. They still retain the doctrinal beliefs regarding Acts 2:38 etc, but have all turned in their minister licenses. I saw two women in pants yesterday who had never worn them before in their lives. The funny thing is they never minded he standards, really couldn't care less about wearing dresses all the time, but they got so disgusted with the push to make standards into something more than simple modesty that the standards became a burden that they previously weren't.

Hopefully, he doesn't read this forum, but one time, in introducing a choir song, Wayne Goodine took the mic and said, "You know, the bible says we're just sinners saved by grace" and quite a few in the choir snickered.
