Its one thing to be clear and say something that is not a reflection of reality and just twisting some real event to fit a sermon.

it makes me absolutly crazy. and being a history nut, I tend to catch more than I most.

Re: Worst Sermons In History

Then there is the nonsense of how NASA scientists cannot account for one entire day's loss of time, which is explained by Joshua having commanded the sun and moon to stand still in the sky.

Also, the lie that there is a cube seen by astronomers that is coming towards the earth, allegedly proposed to be the New Jerusalem.

wackadoodle. so everyone got rid of all their ceramic frogs and paintings of owls etc.
I heard of that same idea. The idea was that the bible used them as figures of evil in various parts of the bible, like Revelation showing three frogs coming out of the mouth of the beast.

Re: Worst Sermons In History

So what about all the back-masking hooey that made the rounds in the late 70's and early 80's? "Turn me on, dead man" or whatever it was that supposedly the Beatles said. And that EVIL song, Hotel California because of the line, "You can check in but can never check out."
