I don't work for the TSA. I'm in a totally different agency. But I work along side the TSA guys. You should talk to a few and get their perspective if they are willing to tell you anything. Most of the time, they are not allowed to even discuss it. So... it's like being verbally beaten up in the public arena... and being unable to say word one to defend yourself.

My point is that a patt down is just a mere patt down compared to an agent or informant loosing their lives. I guess they don't matter?

This is getting silly.

It's not a "mere" pat down, this is new to a free people. The choices are being looked at in the nude or having a total stranger touch you in places nobody has the right to do so.
Then to suggest that I or anyone else would rather seen someone else lose their lives so we can be more informed is insulting.

I look at it like this. Medical professionals see people in the nude all the time. It's their job to protect our health. Security professionals may have to see us in the nude to protect our safety while flying. If we're uncomfortable with it... we can choose to drive or pay for a private plane to take us somewhere.

And I'm sorry, not in any universe am I going to equate a TSA worker with a medical professional.

From an internal perspective... the TSA agents that will be tasked with monitoring the full body scanners aren't absolutely thrilled with the idea either. They're the ones that will be screening people. Have you seen the people that go through the airport? The vast majority of those passing through the scanners are far from looking like members of an all girl or all boy volley ball team. All I can say is YUCK. I wouldn't want the job.

I've hung out with medical professionals when I was a medic. It's not uncommon for medical professionals to be unprofessional regarding attractive patients.
