Re: Iranian Pastor Sentenced to Death
Some tap dancing going on in this thread.
"I believe my doctrine, and it says you are damned, but I won't say it"
It's too bad the thread has taken a tangent when this man's life is on the line here in the coming day. May God deliver him from harm to a continued ambassador of the Gospel in Iran, to Iranians made in the image of GOD, those He loves dearly and deeply.

I'm not exactly sure who you are referring to, but I think you're being kind of hard, especially since you're the one who has sent the thread on a "tangent".
Is there anyone who doesn't want to pray for this man? Have you read anyone say they won't or wouldn't? Or that he's damned?
Your displeasure with the apostolic church you attend or maybe in general seems to be clouding your replies.
Maybe you should re-read the posts on this thread.

For your sake...AND for theirs ...you should probably leave and find a congregation that would suit you better.

I think you are right, but I have spoken with my Pastor in private, on a couple occasions, even very recently.
He thinks otherwise and believes that the difference I am speaking of is imaginary.
Maybe it is.
Maybe my idea of Apostolica is damaged by some out of ordinary legalistic and exclusive Apostolics that are simply out of sync with the rest of the Way of the Cross, PAW and UPCI.
Maybe....

If so, he is my brother.

And, many Apostolics think that only some other Apostolics are saved.

Yeppers.
When I lived in NC, there were literally over 10 Apostolic churches in my town-- only my church was right and it was a sure deal that if I obeyed my Pastor there I'd go to Heaven!
One of the other larger Apostolic churches in that same town thought of our church out on the edge of town as nothing less than a cult.

Where's that confused smilie when I need it.
The only clouded post here is your own. What in the world are you even talking about?
Read the pages: What is a believer? What does it mean to be part of the family of God? I can hear the back-pedaling on here as loud as I hear when this comes up on any post. "He's not saved according to my theology, but I'm not God and can't say that." Of course, that's a little too explicit for many on here... but just say it! They believe it! So say it! Man up!
As you were..

Re: Iranian Pastor Sentenced to Death
http://presenttruthmn.com/blog/iran/...eath-sentence/
There are rumors circulating that Youcef Nadarkhani was to be executed on Friday December 3rd. These rumors are untrue. Youcef’s attorney stated that the execution has not been scheduled. Secondly, Friday is the Muslim holy day of the week and executions are not scheduled on that day. Sources have stated that the majority of executions are carried out on Wednesday’s.
At this point, a hearing for the appeal has not yet been scheduled with the Supreme Court. When I know more I will certainly let you know.
I have received notice that Behrouz Sadegh-Khandjani is being charged with apostasy, blasphemy, and contact with the enemy. If he is convicted he will be sentenced to death. A meeting has been scheduled with him, his attorney, and the prosecuting attorney. Pray for all parties involved in this meeting. It is also critical that we alert our local officials and the news media about Behrouz’ case.
In Christ,
Jason DeMars
