Henryetta woman dies in Okmulgee County wreck

A Henryetta woman was pronounced dead after a single-vehicle wreck in Okmulgee County just after midnight Wednesday, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers report.

Angela Hurt, 41, was pronounced dead at Henryetta Medical Center after a car she was driving left a roadway to the right side and overturning several time, ejecting her, troopers report.

Hurt was westbound on Chestnut Road east of 180 Road in Okmulgee County driving a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche, according to the report.

She was transported by Okmulgee County EMS with injuries to her head and other internal and external injuries, troopers report.

Her vehicle skidded for 248 feet before coming to a rest, and Hurt was ejected, coming to rest about 86 feet away from the vehicle, according to trooper reports.

Troopers report Hurt was not wearing a seatbelt, and airbags were equipped but did not deploy.
