Re: Hurricane Gustav

Was on the phone to Sulphur Louisiana last night, looks like they will be told Sunday wether to evacuate or not, seems to me to be cutting it kind of close.

There was a 23 percent chance last night that the storm could diminish into a tropical storm rahter than come ashore as a hurricane. Will look again.

I know. he is truly one of the few people I can call one of my heroes .

You couldnt say enough good things about Brother Jonathan Alvear!

One incredible thing I noticed was that whenever you mention the name "Jonathan Alvear" around ministers from coast to coast border to border the response is always the same ........

'Now THAT'S a Christian!"

Is there a higher praise?

Re: Hurricane Gustav

I hope it goes directly west, missing the US altogether. (I know Mexico doesn't need a hurricane anymore than we do, but three years post-Katrina and the Gulf Coast is still a mess.)

Re: Hurricane Gustav

God can make it disappear...however those in it´s path should prepare. That is the wise thing to do.

Re: Hurricane Gustav

It is now a cat 4 and expected to make a 5.

Beaumont will be notified by 6am if they are going to call for mandatory evaculations. I do NOT want to go through another evaculation.

They have volunteer evacuations going on now.

Until it gets in the gulf we don't really know where it will go. I don't want to make a decision before then. And IF we evacuate we will go to North La.
